Are you Professional Financial Advisors?
We are not professional financial advisors. While our advice is meant to be helpful and educational it represent the opinions of our staff based on practical knowledge. We make no legal claim to it's validity. We encourage you to seek the counsel of a professional financial advisor.
Why another financial site?
Most of the websites, books, tv & radios shows about money are focused on a different audience. Slap My Wallet is specifically geared towards creative people.
How are creative people different?
In general creative people tend to be more holistic and less analytical. They have a greater aptitude for understanding analogies and concepts. They are less motivated by pie charts and complicated formulas.
What topics do you cover?
We generally choose topics that we think are important or interesting in the areas of personal finance, wealth, creativity, saving, marketing and more. Our advice is based on solid, proven financial principles. Principles that you would find in any number of personal finance books. We don't cover trends or get rich quick scemes.
Do you have any political or religious affiliations?
Slap My Wallet does not have any political or religious affiliations.
Are there any limitations for user comments?
We do have some guidelines for user comments. Comments need to be on-topic. Comments that are abusive in nature will be deleted. Comments that are soley intended for self-promotion will be deleted.

Sure, but it will probably get our attention quicker if you mention it using the comment box of a related article.

I sent you an email and did not get a response. What gives?
Unfortunately because of the volume of emails we receive we cannot reply to every inquiry.
My company will get you high on google listings, we print business cards, we do viral marketing, we do search engine optimization, we can redesign your site who do we contact?
At this time we are not interested in any of these services. Please do not contact us, add us to your newsetter, or put us in your 'salesman' database. We are not interested.

Do you have any advertising restrictions?
We do not accept advertising from companies that solicit get rich quick schemes, multi-level marketing programs, predatory lenders, credit counselors, unproven financial software, or advertisers making unsubstantiated claims. Because some of our advertising is provided by ad networks some restricted advertising may appear on Slap My Wallet. We promise to make an effort to block these ads when possible.
